What is the Director Lifestyle Programme?

A range of personal lifestyle and business solutions that cater for your most senior and talented employees.

What do you mean by lifestyle solutions?

Booking restaurants, sending gifts, planning weekend breaks: up to 20% of our working day is spent on personal tasks. As well as the time lost to the business it is an unnecessary pressure and distraction for your best people. The Director Lifestyle Programme takes away all these things and gives measurable time back to the business, the individual, even the PA.

And business solutions?

The blur between work and personal life means that many of the personal requests such as entertaining, dining, sporting events and travel are also aspects that are necessary in business. As a result, where appropriate, we provide support which caters for Corporate Travel, Entertainment and Relocation. 

Everyone does a few personal things at work – it doesn’t affect morale or productivity?

Really? How much is 20% of your business time worth?

Of course, you may think that it is not a bad thing that your business loses time in this way. After all, like you your best people take work home too, don't they? But when it comes to attracting and retaining the best talent, when it comes to being recognised as an employer of choice, and when you look at your own work/life, wouldn't you really prefer to be at work working and at home being a family? That's all we do.

Culturally, this type of service would be difficult to accept

As fellow HR professionals, we fully appreciate that implementing lifestyle solutions need to take place at the right time for the business and be embraced by all (well at least the majority of the leadership team!). However, we often find that the culture of an organisation is put forward as the issue/problem to change. We can help change this, alter the perception of the leadership, encourage and embrace a fairer place to work; however, this needs to start with you!

You say your services are business focused, what do you mean?

We mean the needs of the business – attraction, retention, work/life - determine the breath of services offered, how they are delivered and ultimately how their impact is measured. We recognise that PHI, Death in Service, Pensions, Car allowance etc are now commonplace. However, our services are designed to measure their impact on the business. We work with HR functions, not personnel departments.

Do you honestly believe you can make a difference which can be measured?

How do you currently measure attrition, attraction, the cost of recruitment, stress levels, motivation? All we do is focus on the specific aspects that you want to improve. Providing other variables do not change, the measures should be fairly accurate. This is not to say that there are intangible measures – just that where HR can measure solutions, in our view, they should.

What other services do you offer the business?

Lifestyle Relocation and tailored events and hospitality solutions. We can also review and, where possible, handle corporate travel arrangements.
